You will find a variety of mops which has separate cleaning procedure. After cleaning with a mop, the wet fabric or sponge sits can grow harmful bacteria.
If you want to prevent the growth of bacteria, clean your mop head properly. For detachable cotton mop head throw it into the warm water for cleaning. Try to clean all the large debris then throw it into hot water. Stay away from fabric softener thus it doesn’t catch on the mop head. Use high heat for better cleaning.

Clean the Vacuum:
You can find a lot of vacuum cleaning tool in the market which has certain brands and models. I suggest you go through the instruction manual before you start cleaning a vacuum cleaner.
However, I can share some essential and standard tips with you. Try to clean the canister after every cleaning. It’s not a permanent dustbin if you have a paper bag then change it or empty it when it is full. If the bag is full, you can get bad small too. Try to give a wash to the filter in every three months.
Remove the filter and put it in hot water and use some soap. Rinse it and dry it fully before you put it on the vacuum again.
Remember wet filter can ruin your vacuum cleaner. There is a powerhead brush in the bottom of the vacuum cleaner which needs to be cleaned. Trashes and hairs often get stuck in the tube of the brush use scissors or your hand to clean the debris that trapped around the powerhead.
Clean any Brushes:
By using a brush you often clean your floor, toilet or teeth or shower so, your different brushes need to be often cleaned. Try to pick out the debris or hairs that are attached in the bristles with your hand or a thin and small stick.
Don’t forget to wear a glove while cleaning bristles with your hand. Next, put all the brushes in a mixture of warm water and OXY powder. Keep them in the mixture for 30 to 60 minutes.
Then rinse and dry those brushes thoroughly before using those again. Do this at least once a month, if possible then twice.
Sponge is another vital cleaning tool which can get dirty so quickly and easily. To clean sponges try to rinse it to get rid of all kind of debris.
Keep it in the microwave and heat it for two minutes for drying it. Take back the new and hot sponge carefully from the microwave and place it in cool water.
If you haven’t any microwave, you can also put the sponge in hot water. Remember, if there is any metal part in your sponge do not microwave it else, it can catch fire.
If you use any towel for cleaning dust and dirt then it also needed to be often cleaned. After using towels for cleaning put them in the washing machine with your regular detergent solution. Then dry the towel properly for further use. You can also use half cup of baking soda for better cleaning.
Washing Microfiber Cloth:
Microfiber cloths often use for little works like glass cleaning, mirror cleaning or dust cleaning. The procedure of cleaning a microfiber cloth is a bit different.
First, rinse it in the sink and scrub it gently with your hand then put it in a delicate bag and place the bag in the washing machine alone and add a little detergent. Don’t use any fabric softener cause it can reduce static. Dry it thoroughly after cleaning procedure.
That’s all for the cleaning of your cleaning tools. You can’t pass a single day without using those cleaning tools so keep them in your great care too.
Don’t forget to clean them now and often for their better performance.
